At the Sun Air Jets Los Angeles facility at the Van Nuys Airport, the company voluntarily participates in the Airport’s Quieter Nights Program. Created by the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) to reduce aircraft noise affecting local communities, the Quieter Nights Program encourages jet aircraft operators to avoid flights at the Van Nuys Airport between 11:00 pm and 7:00 am.
As a Program participant, Sun Air Jets briefs company flight crews and support staff on the Program procedures, as well as advises tenant flight crews to comply with the Program to the maximum extent as possible.
Additionally, Sun Air Jets is a repeat award recipient of the Friendly Flyer Award. Established in 2012, the voluntary Fly Friendly/Quiet Departure Program presents the award to jet operators who comply with noise abatement policies and procedures at the Van Nuys Airport.
Sun Air Jets also strives to be a good neighbor to local residents of its Ventura County facility. Offering private jet charter, management, maintenance and FBO services at the Camarillo Airport, Sun Air Jets encourages pilots and staff to comply with the Airport’s noise abatement procedures.
