A Distinctive Achievement
Sun Air Jets possesses all four of the major safety audit standards in the air charter industry: IS/BAO Stage 3, Wyvern Flight Leader, ARG/US Platinum, and the Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF), an achievement held only by a select number of global operators and less than 10 operators in California.
Highest Safety Level Awarded
Recently, Sun Air Jets advanced to the highest safety registration level from the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO), IS-BAO Stage 3. This voluntary registration level was awarded to Sun Air Jets for its high quality, risk-averse safety and operational processes that permeates our company culture.
Safety Audit Standards
The exclusive IS-BAO Stage 3 designation highlights Sun Air Jets’ relentless dedication to aviation safety and professionalism, including employing dedicated safety personnel who ensure the entire company, including its private charter jet fleet, adheres to the highest safety standards.
Since its inception, Sun Air Jets has had a Safety Management System (SMS) in place that is regularly audited by the organizations below. Additionally, Sun Air Jets incorporates an internal evaluation program (IEP) to continually adhere to high safety standards and promote a positive safety culture.
Sun Air Jets has earned the following safety standard distinctions.
IS/BAO | Stage 3
The IS/BAO, developed by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) and its member associations, is a recommended voluntary code of best practices designed to help flight operations word-wide achieve higher levels of safety and professionalism in their operations. IS-BAO Stage 3 is achieved when the operator verifies safety management activities are fully integrated into the operator’s business and a positive safety culture is being sustained.
WYVERN | Wingman Pro Certification
Developed by WYVERN Ltd, the Wyvern Wingman Pro Certification is the global leader in business aviation safety audits and is considered one of the most recognized and reputable standards in the aviation industry. WYVERN assesses the effectiveness of each operator’s management system related to safety risk management, pilot competency, aircraft technician competency, aircraft airworthiness, human factors, and organizational culture.
ARG/US | Platinum
ARG/US provides a comprehensive evaluation of an organization’s flight and maintenance operations and helps to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the organization’s safety management system (SMS). The Platinum rating is the highest safety level and requires a well-developed SMS as well as a clear and workable Emergency Response Plan, effective policies, procedures and documented records for all major aspects of operations.
ACSF | Audit Registered
The ACSF promotes and enables the highest levels of safety in personal and business aviation. They developed an Audit Standard that provides a comprehensive audit for charter operators and shared aircraft ownership management companies on a recurring basis. The Standard is designed with input from a variety of industry professionals, including charter operators, consumers, safety auditors and shared aircraft ownership companies.
Aviation Safety Action Program
Developed by the Air Charter Safety Foundation, this program provides employees a non-disciplinary approach to identifying and reporting safety issues to management and to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for resolution, without fear that the FAA will take legal enforcement action against them, or that companies will use such information to take disciplinary action.
As a result of Sun Air Jets’ relentless safety culture, our pilots are trained to a level most operators only dream about, ensuring a safe, comfortable trip every time for our managed aircraft owners and charter customers.
