Aviation Safety Audit Standards
The exclusive IS-BAO Stage 3 designation highlights Sun Air Jets’ relentless dedication to aviation safety and professionalism, including employing dedicated safety personnel who ensure the entire company, including its private jet fleet, adheres to the highest safety standards.
Since its inception, Sun Air Jets has had a Safety Management System (SMS) in place that is regularly audited by the organizations below. Additionally, Sun Air Jets incorporates an internal evaluation program (IEP) to continually adhere to high safety standards and promote a positive safety culture.

IS-BAO | Stage 3
The IS-BAO, developed by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) and its member associations, is a recommended voluntary code of best practices designed to help flight operations word-wide achieve higher levels of safety and professionalism in their operations. IS-BAO Stage 3 is achieved when the operator verifies safety management activities are fully integrated into the operator’s business and a positive safety culture is being sustained.
ARGUS | Platinum Elite
ARGUS provides a comprehensive evaluation of an organization’s flight and maintenance operations and helps to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the organization’s aviation safety management system (SMS). The Platinum Elite rating is the highest safety level and requires a well-developed SMS as well as a clear and workable Emergency Response Plan, effective policies, procedures and documented records for all major aspects of operations.
WYVERN | Wingman Pro Certification
Developed by WYVERN Ltd, the Wyvern Wingman Pro Certification is the global leader in business aviation safety audits and is considered one of the most recognized and reputable standards in the aviation industry. WYVERN assesses the effectiveness of each operator’s management system related to safety risk management, pilot competency, aircraft technician competency, aircraft airworthiness, human factors, and organizational culture. ACSF | Audit Registered
The ACSF promotes and enables the highest levels of safety in personal and business aviation. They developed an Audit Standard that provides a comprehensive audit for charter operators and shared aircraft ownership management companies on a recurring basis. The Standard is designed with input from a variety of industry professionals, including charter operators, consumers, safety auditors and shared aircraft ownership companies.
Aviation Safety Action Program
The Air Charter Safety Foundation program provides employees a non-disciplinary approach to identifying and reporting safety issues to management and to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for resolution.
