California Privacy Notice to Job Applicants

Sun Air Jets (“Company”, “we”, or “us”) provides this California Privacy Notice (“Notice”) pursuant to the California Consume Privacy Act, as amended (CCPA/CPRA). This Notice describes how we collect, use, and share “Personal Information” of job applicants who are California residents (“Consumers”). For purposes of this Notice, “Consumers” refers to you solely as a California resident applying for employment within the Company.

I. Information We Collect

We may collect Personal Information from you directly, fro third-party service providers (such as background check companies), or from publicly available sources. Categories of information we may collect include:

Personal Identifiers

  • Examples: Name, alias, address, email, phone number, social security number, driver’s license or passport. 
  • Retention: If hired, duration of employment plus 4 years; If not hired, 4 years from position filled or date received.

Contact Information

  • Examples: Home address, email, phone number.
  • Retention: If hired, duration of employment plus 4 years; If not hired, 4 years from position filled or date received. 

Pre-Hire, Employment, and Education Information

  • Examples: Resume, job history, education, transcripts, certifications, salary expectations.
  • Retention: If hired, duration of employment plus 4 years; If not hired, 4 years from position filled or date received. 

Inferences

  • Examples: Analysis of Personal Information to assess abilities and fit.
  • Retention: If hired, duration of employment plus 4 years; If not hired, 4 years from position filled or date received.

Internet, Network and Computer Activity

  • Examples: Usage of Company networks, systems, and devices.
  • Retention: 2 years.

Mobile Device Information

  • Examples: Device make, model, serial number, phone number, provider
  • Retention: 2 years.

Online Portal and Mobile App Information

  • Examples: User account data, login credentials, usage history.
  • Retention: 2 years.

Medical and Health Information

  • Health-related information for public health compliance.
  • Retention: 2 years.

Sensitive Personal Information
Includes social security number, driver’s license, passport number, account credentials, and medical or health information.

Exclusions
Does not include publicly available government records, information lawfully made public by the applicant, voluntarily disclosed information without restrictions, or de-identified/aggregated data. 

II. How We Use Personal Information

We use Personal Information for legitimate business purposes including:

  1. Processing job applications
  2. Evaluating qualifications, conducting background checks, and communicating hiring decisions.
  3. Complying with legal obligations (e.g., payroll, tax, safety, public health).
  4. Improving recruiting processes.
  5. Monitoring activities on Company premises or systems.
  6. Supporting corporate transactions (mergers, acquisitions).
  7. Protecting against fraud or illegal activity.
  8. Managing vendor and service provider relationships.
  9. Maintaining and improving systems.
  10. Responding to privacy rights requests.

We may share information with service providers who process information on our behalf for recruitments, background checks, or employment verification purposes. 

III. Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell your Personal Information or Sensitive Personal Information. WE also do not share your information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

IV. Your California Privacy Rights

Under CCPA/CPRA, California applicants have the following rights:

  • Right to Know / Access: Request the categories and specific Personal Information we collect.
  • Right to Delete: Request deletion of your Personal Information (with certain exceptions). 
  • Right to Correct (CPRA only): Request correction of inaccurate Personal Information.
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Information: Requested restrictions on how we use sensitive Personal Information.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: You cannot be denied employment or treated differently for exercising these rights. 

Personal information does not include information excluded from the CPRA’s
