Private Jet Operator Donates 1,000 Pounds of Turkey

(Los Angeles, CA – November 20, 2019) Private jet charter and aircraft management company Sun Air Jets is proud to once again support the local Salvation Army pantry in Ventura County with their annual Thanksgiving turkey drive.

Thanks to the generous donations of Sun Air Jets employees and a company matching initiative, the private jet operator was able to donate over 1,000 pounds of turkey to help support their local community.

As a locally-owned business, Sun Air Jets prides itself on supporting Ventura and Los Angeles counties through ongoing charitable donations and partnerships.

This four-day course established Sun Air Jets Safety Leaders with essential skills and knowledge to effectively lead our organization. Trainees learned progressive techniques applied by top safety professionals around the world and how to implement in a company’s existing safety culture.

SAJ’s Entire Fleet is ADS-B Out Equipped

(Los Angeles, CA – July 23, 2019) – With more than 15 aircraft under management, Sun Air Jets is pleased to announce their entire fleet is ADS-B Out-equipped as of June 2019. This gives owners peace of mind ahead of the January 1, 2020 implementation of ADS-B Out requirements for select airspace.

Roughly 73% of U.S. registered turbine aircraft were equipped as of June according to FlightAware, making Sun Air Jets one of the few international operators with full ADS-B Out equipage.

Full-Service Maintenance

Operating aircraft ranging from a Lear 60 to a Global 6000, Sun Air Jets is proud of its diligent maintenance oversight for all managed clients. As a FAA Part 145 repair station, Sun Air Jets utilizes a proactive approach to maintenance, keeping owners informed of ongoing and upcoming maintenance events.

“With our final aircraft now ADS-B Out equipped, this concludes our long-term plan of having all of our aircraft upgraded well before the January 1, 2020 deadline,” says Rob Cox, EVP of Maintenance for Sun Air Jets. “We’ve worked with our aircraft owners and flight crews to identify the ideal downtime to accomplish the avionics install over the last two years, and have achieved our goal six months ahead of the deadline.”

In this position, Justin will be responsible for all aspects of aircraft owner interaction, focusing especially on ensuring timely and accurate communication, as well as being the primary point of contact for any owner questions or concerns.

Justin brings over 10 years of aviation experience in his role working with aircraft owners and prospective clients for the managed fleet, as well as expanding business development opportunities for the company. He is a licensed pilot, remains actively involved with several aviation charities, and holds a bachelor’s degree from UCLA.

NBAA Honors SAJ with Private Flight Safety Award

(Los Angeles, CA – July 3, 2019) – Private flight and management company Sun Air Jets was honored for 16 years of accident-free flying by the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA). This is a result of over 33,343 hours of safe flying conducted by the operator’s dedicated flight crews. Since the company first obtained its 135 Air Carrier Certificate in 2003, Sun Air continues to be one of the safest private jet operators in the industry.

This award is presented to eligible NBAA members who demonstrate all flights under their operational control were flown accident free. The 12-month period used for determining each additional accident free year ends on December 31. Requirements include that both flight crews and maintenance technicians employed by the company are not involved in any accident as determined by the NTSB and FAA.

SAJ Receives Friendly Flyer Award at Van Nuys Airport

(Los Angeles, CA, June 24, 2019) – Sun Air Jets was recently honored as a recipient of the 2018 Friendly Flyer Award at a ceremony held at the Van Nuys Airport.  This award is presented to private jet operators who voluntarily participate in the Fly Friendly/Quiet Departure Program, designed to reduce noise in neighboring areas above and beyond existing federal regulations.

This marks the 5th consecutive year Sun Air Jets has been presented with the award by the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), the governing body for Van Nuys and LAX.  Additional recognition was presented from the offices of Nury Martinez, Councilwoman, LA’s Sixth District; and Tony Cardenas, Representative, 29th Congressional District.

Sun Air Jets Renews ACSF Industry Audit Standard Registration

Washington, DC, December 7, 2018 —  The Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF) is pleased to announce that Sun Air Jets, Camarillo, CA, has renewed its status on the ACSF Industry Audit Standard (IAS) Registry. 

“By renewing their standing on the IAS Registry, they have demonstrated their pledge to high standards,” said ACSF president Bryan Burns. “We congratulate them on their continued commitment.”

“Sun Air Jets is proud to be a part of the Air Charter Safety Foundation team,” said Sun Air Jets’ president and COO Brian Counsil. “The recent audit by ACSF helped improve our practices and safety culture as we continue to pursue the safest operation possible.”

The IAS is the first and only extensive audit program specifically created for on-demand operators by a committee of Part 135 and 91K industry leaders. It is conducted every 24 months and is in-depth in its evaluation of regulatory compliance and the operator’s SMS program against both FAA and international standards.

Customers should look for the ACSF IAS registered logo and encourage their preferred charter provider to participate in the program.

Lexus high performance vehicles are leaving a mark without shattering a thing – besides your expectations. “The Crystal Gauntlet,” a new video released today, features the powerful GS F, RC F and LC 500 doing stunts in a china shop full of Baccarat crystal.

Luckily for Lexus, the precision of the vehicles and drift world champion Rhys Millen left dozens of genuine Baccarat crystal pieces intact. Holding your breath watching the video? Us too – all of the stunts performed by the drivers are 100% real. Amazingly, no crystal was harmed in the making of the spot, created by agency Team One.
