Sun Air Jets Film Production Services

Those watching a movie, a show, a short, or any other film production may need to realize all the effort put into finding the perfect location or setting. Those involved in the film production process know how much time is spent creating the final product.

Sometimes having the wrong location can throw off everything. Because we don’t want that to happen to you, let’s look at a few things you should be looking at – and then tell you about the perfect location you may not have even known you needed.

Finding the Perfect Film Production Location

When looking for the right filming location, you must take your time. Sending out locations scouts who know what you are looking for can be beneficial while you continue staying focused on what is in front of you.

Determining the location can be difficult because even when you find the perfect space, the surrounding conditions may be a problem. For instance, you may find the ideal spot, but it is too close to the highway, and the noise is excessive. This is why it is so important to do your research.

Here are a few tips for finding the perfect location

Interior/Enclosed Locations

For example, when you are shooting inside – or in a hangar – you need to have enough space. A glance and the space may look perfect. But you may overlook all the equipment needed to capture the shot successfully. Things like lighting, noise and personal space are also essential.

Exterior Locations

Shooting outdoors always comes with challenges – especially noises. As mentioned above, a location may be ideal, but the sounds around it are not. Sometimes the sounds may not seem so bad, but the microphones will pick them up. Being able to eliminate background noise is essential for filming at outdoor locations.

Interior and Exterior Locations

Sometimes you need both interior and exterior locations in one shot. This can be the most challenging since you want the shots to line up, so filming in the exact location is best. You want it to flow if you need to film inside an airport and the hangar or on a private jet charter. It is always a good idea to ensure you have owners or representatives at the location to help reduce any unnecessary business that may interfere with filming.

Acquiring Film Production Permits

Don’t forget you have to have permits to film in most public areas – if it is a big production. That way, everything will be covered if there is any disruption in the normal business flow. You will have greater access to buildings and their surroundings while there, so you can get the shot you are looking for every time.

Get Creative

There are things you can do to turn locations into the perfect setting for your film. Representatives in airports with experience can give ideas of how it has been done in the past. You could leave Miami and fly into Las Vegas without ever leaving Camarillo Airport with a few tweaks. Other than the film crew, nobody would ever know.

Expect the Unexpected

You never know what might come up during filming. It doesn’t matter how prepared you are; you have to be ready when it does. Take precautions, have a backup plan, and work closely with your location representative to ensure everything goes as hassle-free as you imagined.
