Sun Air Jets is proud to announce a new partnership with 4AIR, the first and only rating system focused on comprehensive sustainability in private aviation, for verification of its program to offset carbon emissions. This commitment to 4Air, along with other company sustainability initiatives, reinforces Sun Air Jets’ dedication to reducing its overall environmental impact and will further enhance its sustainability program.

Sun Air Jets is excited to announce that its Van Nuys location (KVNY) has also been certified as a Green Aviation
Business with Tier 1 status by the National Air Transportation Association (NATA). This is the second location to
achieve this exciting designation for Sun Air Jets. The company worked with the NATA to evaluate and meet the
standards for its Sustainability Standard for Aviation Businesses in 2021 for the Camarillo (KCMA) location.

The NATA Sustainability Standard for Aviation Businesses is a new sustainability initiative, developed in 2021, created
to provide FBOs, airports, and other aviation businesses a self-certification process for pursuing flexible, cost-effective
options to lower their carbon footprint.

Developed by a working group under NATA’s Environment Committee, the NATA Sustainability Standard for Aviation
Businesses is a free industry standard designed to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (including CO2), increase
use of more environmentally friendly energy sources, reduce waste, and encourage sustainability operation-wide.
“NATA is grateful to Sun Air Jets for their input in developing the standard and leadership as an early adopter. It is
inspiring to see our members’ enthusiasm for meeting the requirements of this sustainability standard and then raising
the bar even higher for greater improvement,” stated NATA President and CEO Timothy Obitts.

Environment Committee on this project and other environmental initiatives. Sun Air Jets is very excited to have our Van Nuys location receive this distinctive certification as well.”

The addition of the new green building certified hangars and the facilities on Roscoe Boulevard at the Van Nuys
Airport greatly expands the size of Sun Air Jets’ footprint of available space and presence in the Los Angeles area. The
two adjoining hangars each have an attached private terminal and office and provide 71,0000 square feet of new
space over 4.4 acres. Designed to offer a superior level of luxury and sophistication, the new Van Nuys facilities offer
private offices, lounges, conference meeting rooms, gated guest parking.

To further reduce their carbon footprint, Sun Air Jets continues to regularly make beneficial adjustments. Additional
electric vehicle charging stations and FloWater refillable water stations have recently been installed at all of their
greater Los Angeles area locations.

Sun Air Jets is honored to be a partner of The Justin Turner Foundation and is proud to have recently supported their largest annual fundraiser. The 6th Annual Justin Turner Golf Classic was held at picturesque Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks on Monday, February 7th.  

Golfers included current MLB players Cody Bellinger, Mookie Betts, Scott Kazmir, Mike Moustakas,  Albert Pujols, Corey Seager, Will Smith and Chris Taylor in addition to former Dodgers, Andre Ethier,  Shawn Green and Eric Karros. Turner also golfed alongside his teammates and guests. 

The event also included a silent auction and awards reception. A Kickoff Party was held on Sunday,  February 6th, at a private location in Malibu, California. 

“We’re thrilled that our most important fundraiser is back and could kick off the week of the Big  Game,” said Justin Turner. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to welcome our supporters and friends  for a memorable day in support of what’s dearest to us, our charitable work in the city we love.”

KCMA FBO Celebrates Milestone 20th Anniversary
January 2002 to January 2022 

Sun Air Jets is celebrating the milestone 20th anniversary of its FBO in Southern California. TheKCMA  FBO, located in Camarillo, California, received its official certification in January of 2002. Initially launched with just the FBO, Sun Air Jets has now grown into a multi-faceted boutique aviation business with over 100  employees and multiple locations. The company now also provides aircraft management, charter flight services, aircraft maintenance and expansive hangar availability along with its FBO offerings.  

The Camarillo facilities were constructed over the course of 10 years in 3 phases. The FBO design was started in January of 2000 and officially opened in January of 2002. Later, the western hangars and fuel farm were added in August of 2005 and the eastern hangars finished in November of 2010. KCMA was one of the first FBOs in Southern California to carry sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and was recently awarded a  Green Aviation Business certification by the National Air Transportation Association (NATA). The FBO  is proud to be a Signature Select branded facility.
