Stephen M. Lassetter

President and Chief Operating Officer

Stephen has spent over 35 years in the business aviation industry. While with AMR Combs, the business aviation affiliate of American Airlines, he was a member of the development team that initiated Business JetSolutions and the FlexJet fractional ownership program with venture partner, Bombardier Aerospace. Additionally, he represented AMR Combs’ business interests in a consortium of US and Chinese shareholders that developed the exclusive FBO at Hong Kong International Airport at Chek Lap Kok. Mr. Lassetter has been President and COO of Sun Air Jets since joining the company in 2004. Mr. Lassetter holds a BBA degree for the University of North Texas and an MBA from the University of Dallas.

Brian Counsil

Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel

Brian is Sun Air’s in-house legal and tax professional. Mr. Counsil is an expert in income, excise, property and sales taxes as relates to aircraft ownership. The expert legal, tax and financial assistance he offers to Sun Air Jets’ managed aircraft owners is a distinct advantage the company provides. Mr. Counsil holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Davis.

Dale Jacobs

CPA and Controller

Dale oversees Sun Air’s finance and accounting operations. All aircraft revenue and operating cost data is compiled, reviewed and documented by Sun Air’s accounting staff and conveyed to the aircraft’s owners in an accurate, understandable and timely fashion. Mr. Jacobs has an extensive background in auditing, cash flow analysis, tax filings and other practical financial matters. He holds a BS degree in Accounting from California State University, Northridge and a CPA designation.

Charles O’Dell

Director of Operations

Charles has been a professional pilot for 21 years logging over 12,000 safe flying hours. He has extensive experience in both FAR Part 121 Air Carrier operations as well as Part 135 on-demand air charter services. He has served as an advanced simulator instructor and has FAA check airman authority. Mr. ODell has a BBA degree from California Coast University and is currently pursuing an MBA degree. Mr. ODell oversees the Sun Air Jets Safety Management Systems program that has received acceptance and certification from the four leading independent aviation auditing agencies, Wyvern, IS-BAO, the Air Charter Safety Foundation, and ARG/US.

David Anderson

Director of Maintenance

David has over 30 years of experience in corporate aircraft maintenance focused primarily on Part 135 on-demand charter operations. He has attended factory maintenance schools for Gulfstream, Hawker and a variety of other business jet aircraft, as well as factory schools for Honeywell engines and Sundstrand APUs. Mr. Anderson manages the safety and efficiency of Sun Air Jets’ maintenance activities and employees, while overseeing Sun Air Jets’ Part 145 Repair Station and Battery Shop. Quality maintenance practices, including financial disclosures to the aircraft owner, ensure implicit trust from aircraft owners. Mr. Anderson holds an FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate and a Private Pilots certificate.
